A sense of foreboding is in the air as Papa Emeritus and his ghouls declare their comeback to touring.
Ghost has unveiled an impressive world tour for 2025, featuring dates across Europe, the UK, and North/Central America from April to September.
The extensive tour, comprising over 55 shows, will begin at the AO Arena in Manchester, UK, on April 15. After a series of performances in the UK and mainland Europe through late May, the band will head to North America and Mexico from July to September. A complete list of tour dates is included below.
In conjunction with this announcement, Ghost has also released a new episode of their online “Chapters” series, revealing that additional dates will be added to this unnamed tour soon.
Ghost’s 2025 tour will mark the band’s return to the stage for the first time since concluding the Impera cycle in October 2023.
Following that, they released the concert/comedy film Rite Here, Rite Now, which premiered in theaters worldwide. This film features footage from their two shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles in September 2023, interwoven with a fictional storyline. The soundtrack includes “The Future Is A Foreign Land,” the first new Ghost track since the release of Impera in 2022.
It’s anticipated that this upcoming tour will showcase the onstage debut of the next version of masked frontman Papa Emeritus, a character portrayed by Tobias Forge, the band’s creative force. Ghost traditionally refreshes this character with each album launch. During the band’s final concert of the Impera cycle in October 2023, Forge/Emeritus remarked (via Metal Injection), “This finale, it’s just going to be my last show, and I’m going to do my best to deliver that show to you, and that would just have to be enough, OK?”
