The Lee Engine Company Volunteers of the Elko Fire Department (City of Elko Fire Department - Lee Engine Company Volunteers) have created a loaner program that allows a Home Knox Box to be placed at the home of an Elko resident with limited mobility or medical issues. The Knox Box is a secure way for the fire department to quickly access a home during an emergency without causing property damage. If you have any questions, or are interested, please contact the Elko Fire Department at 775-777-7345. A big thanks to both Knox box and State Fire for their involvement with the startup of the program.

Additionally Lee Engine Company is hosting the Nevada State Firefighter’s Association Annual Training Conference in Elko June 21st through June 24th. The conference will provide first responders with a variety of trainings including: live burn, extrication, leadership, EMS, and mental health. The event is open to all first responders and more information on registration can be found at NSFA.org . We thank all companies throughout the community that have assisted in a multitude of ways to make this event possible.
