The Eagles have donated $2.5 million to support an upcoming relief concert for the Los Angeles wildfires.

The concert will help raise funds for individuals affected by the ongoing wildfires in parts of Los Angeles.

The Eagles have donated $2.5 million to FireAid, a benefit concert set to take place at the 18,000-seat Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, on January 30.

The event, organized by major industry figures such as Live Nation, AEG, and the Eagles’ longtime manager Irving Azoff, aims to raise funds for those affected by the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles. The lineup for the concert has not yet been revealed.

Although the Eagles are currently performing in a long-running residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, they have no scheduled shows between January 26 and February 13. The timing of the event may also coincide with attendees heading to the Grammy Awards Ceremony on February 2.

Earlier this week, Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation revealed it is donating $500,000 to support wildfire relief efforts through the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund and the Pasadena Community Foundation’s Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund.

The wildfires, which have been burning across Los Angeles since January 7, have already claimed 25 lives and forced over 180,000 people to evacuate. More than 12,000 structures have been destroyed, with damage costs currently estimated at $250-275 billion.

MusiCares, the charity that supports financial relief for those in the music industry, has committed to a $1 million pledge to assist music professionals affected by the fires. The support includes $1,500 in immediate financial aid and $500 in food vouchers for individuals with at least three years of service in the music industry.
