Steven Tyler and Joe Perry share the stage once again during a live performance in San Francisco.

Tyler and Perry took the stage together for the first time since the cancellation of Aerosmith’s Peace Out… tour in 2023.

Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith reunited onstage for the first time since the band’s Peace Out… farewell tour was cut short in September 2023.

The duo performed last week at a private benefit event in San Francisco for Tyler’s charity, Janie’s Fund. They were joined by guitarist Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme and former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum, delivering five Aerosmith hits: Toys in the Attic, Same Old Song and Dance, Sweet Emotion, Dream On, and Walk This Way.

Later in the night, Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander and Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes—who had each performed earlier—returned to the stage to collaborate on two classic covers frequently played by Aerosmith: Tiny Bradshaw’s Train Kept a Rollin’ and The Beatles’ Come Together.

Steven Tyler made his stage comeback in February at a Janie’s Fund event in Hollywood—his first performance since Aerosmith announced their retirement from touring. Although a full band reunion didn’t happen as speculated, bassist Tom Hamilton did appear alongside Tyler, with guitarist Nuno Bettencourt returning to accompany them.

Prior to that, Tyler’s only stage appearance following the vocal injury that forced the Peace Out… tour to be canceled was a guest spot with The Black Crowes in London last year.

Founded by Tyler in 2015, Janie’s Fund—named after Aerosmith’s 1989 song Janie’s Got a Gun—is a charitable organization dedicated to helping girls who have experienced abuse and neglect.
