Rod Stewart, 80, Openly Shares He Has Nothing Left on His Bucket List: “I’ve Achieved Everything I Wanted.”

“I’m extremely satisfied with everything I’ve accomplished so far,” the singer shared with PEOPLE.

Even though he’s currently performing on his farewell tour, One Last Time, Sir Rod Stewart has no plans—or interest—in retiring anytime soon.

“I still love what I do. I absolutely enjoy it,” the 80-year-old musician told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview. “You can see it all over my face. I truly love it—but every good thing eventually has to come to an end.”

With more than 250 million records sold and a Grammy to his name, Stewart could easily step away from the spotlight, yet he has no intention of doing so.

“I’m very content with what I’ve accomplished so far,” he added.

When asked whether he’d be interested in performing at major global events like the Super Bowl or World Cup, Rod Stewart said he had no desire to do so.

“I’ve already done Glastonbury, so I’m content,” he explained, referencing his appearances at the iconic festival in 2002 and again earlier this year.

As for what’s left on his to-do list, the “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?” legend was straightforward: “There’s no bucket list. I’ve done it all.”

He went on to share details about his upcoming projects. “I’m supposed to be working on a country album, and I’m halfway through creating an original one,” he said.

Recently, Stewart wrapped up the latest leg of his Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace, with plans to return in May 2026.

After his final show, he stopped by Caspian’s Cocktails & Caviar—a hidden speakeasy inside Caesars—to celebrate the second anniversary of his Wolfie’s Whiskey. There, he jumped behind the bar to pour drinks before joining the house band to perform “Maggie May” and “Ooh La La.” He was later surprised with a whiskey-shaped cake in honor of his brand.

Despite the celebration, Stewart told PEOPLE he’s been cutting back on alcohol for the sake of his voice. “It’s easier to keep my voice in top condition, and it sounded great tonight. It’s been fantastic over the past year since I reduced my drinking,” he said.

After celebrating his 80th birthday in January, Stewart shared that he maintains his physical and mental well-being through balance and activity.

“I have hobbies, I exercise, and I love my sports,” he explained. “I enjoy watching football, especially the Celtic Football Club. My hobby has been incredibly good to me—and I think every man should have one.”
