Paul McCartney Hits the Road Again with Fresh U.S. Tour Dates
Music legend Paul McCartney is heading back on tour, announcing a fresh set of dates for his widely praised Got Back Tour. This upcoming run marks the 83-year-old icon’s first major North American trek since 2022.
The former Beatle is scheduled to perform 19 shows across 16 cities, kicking off in Palm Desert, California, on September 29 and wrapping up in Chicago on November 25. Notably, McCartney will be performing in Palm Springs and Albuquerque for the first time in his career.
A press release highlighted what fans can expect: “From classics like ‘Hey Jude,’ ‘Live and Let Die,’ and ‘Let It Be,’ to favorites from his time with Wings and his solo work, Paul McCartney’s concerts are a journey through six decades of music that have defined generations.”
Originally launched in 2022, the Got Back Tour has taken McCartney around the world through 2023 and 2024. In a special moment earlier this year, he played three surprise shows at New York’s intimate Bowery Ballroom. Each 575-seat show sold out immediately, and McCartney performed for over two hours on opening night — with tickets priced at just $50.
“We’ve only had one rehearsal,” McCartney joked during the show, leading the crowd through energetic sing-alongs like “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da,” emotional ballads such as “Blackbird,” and anthems including “Jet” and “Let It Be.”
In a year-end message to fans, McCartney shared a personal goal: to complete a new album. “I’ve been working on a lot of songs but had to pause for touring,” he wrote on his official website. “So my New Year’s resolution is to get back to it and finish the album!”
Joining McCartney on stage for the tour are his longtime bandmates: Paul “Wix” Wickens (keyboards), Brian Ray (bass/guitar), Rusty Anderson (guitar), Abe Laboriel Jr. (drums), and the Hot City Horns — a brass trio who began touring with him in 2018.
