Oasis have fueled speculation that they could be preparing to hit the road again in 2027, following a striking drone show above Manchester.
On the evening of September 10, the band appeared to send a clear message to fans when a fleet of drones formed the Oasis logo above their home city. The display also featured the date “14.09.26” alongside “4pm BST,” with the spectacle taking place in the skies above Joie Stadium at the Etihad, where Manchester City Women play their home matches.
The aerial stunt comes after weeks of cryptic activity from Oasis across their social media accounts. Fans have been carefully examining the band’s videos for clues about what could be coming next. Their theories have pointed to several possible locations for concerts in 2027, including Celtic Park in Glasgow, Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and Knebworth, which famously hosted Oasis for two landmark concerts in 1996.
Other clues have led fans to believe that the band could also take their potential tour overseas, with Paris, Rome and Amsterdam among the European cities reportedly being hinted at.
Noel Gallagher has also appeared to add fuel to the speculation. While speaking to UK radio station TalkSport earlier this month, the Oasis guitarist and songwriter remarked: “There’s no football tournament on next year, so we’ve got to do something in the summer, right?”
Any announcement regarding a 2027 tour would arrive shortly after the release of a new Oasis documentary, Don’t Look Back In Anger. The film chronicles the band’s highly successful reunion tour in 2025, which generated an estimated $405.4 million in revenue, according to Pollstar.
The documentary was produced by Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, House of Guinness and SAS: Rogue Heroes, among other projects.
Describing the film, Knight said the Oasis reunion tour brought people from different generations, cultures and nations together, while delivering a message of reconciliation during a troubled period.
He also explained that Don’t Look Back In Anger offers audiences more than footage from the concerts, promising an intimate look behind the scenes. The documentary includes Liam and Noel Gallagher sitting down together for the first time in 15 years to reflect on their relationship and their history with the band.
