Mick Jagger Eager to Hit the Road Again with the Rolling Stones in the Near Future

The legendary rock group is set to unveil its new album, Foreign Tongues, in July.

Mick Jagger is already looking ahead to the possibility of returning to the stage with The Rolling Stones.

Speaking during an appearance on BBC Radio 2’s Tracks of My Years alongside fellow band member Ronnie Wood, the 82-year-old singer shared his enthusiasm for touring again. Although a new tour is not expected to happen this year, Jagger said he is eager to get back on the road whenever the opportunity arises.

While The Rolling Stones currently have no immediate touring plans, Wood, 79, has recently been performing across the United Kingdom and Europe on his own. The series of concerts marks his first solo tour in more than a decade and a half.

The legendary rock group last toured in 2024 to promote Hackney Diamonds, their 2023 studio album.

Fellow Rolling Stones member Keith Richards also recently addressed the band’s future plans in an interview with the Associated Press. The guitarist suggested that discussions about another tour could take place next year but indicated that the group is currently focused on other projects and is unlikely to return to the road before the end of this year.

During the same conversation, Jagger reflected on maintaining the stamina required to perform at an advanced age. He emphasized that staying physically active demands commitment and consistent effort, especially in his eighties. According to the singer, discipline and hard work are essential for continuing to perform at a high level.

Jagger acknowledged that he no longer possesses the same physical abilities he had in his youth, but he believes experience and adaptability have allowed him to continue thriving as a performer.

Meanwhile, The Rolling Stones are preparing for the release of Foreign Tongues, their upcoming studio album scheduled to arrive on July 10. The project will serve as the band’s first new record since the release of Hackney Diamonds.
