Kelly Osbourne Fiercely Stands Up for Late Father Ozzy Osbourne Following Dee Snider’s Remarks: “Keep My Father’s Name Out of Your F—ing Mouth”

Kelly Osbourne spoke out in defense of her late father, Ozzy Osbourne, after Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider commented on allegations concerning the rock legend’s songwriting credits.
The dispute began when a social media user brought up bassist Bob Daisley’s past claims regarding his contributions to Ozzy’s solo work. Daisley has previously said that he wrote a significant portion of the lyrics for No Rest for the Wicked before being dismissed and later told that his lyrics were no longer being used.
Snider challenged that description in a post on X, arguing that several musicians contributed lyrics to Ozzy’s music over the years. He specifically mentioned Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler, Daisley and the late Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister.
Butler has long been recognized as one of Black Sabbath’s principal lyricists, while Daisley has maintained that he wrote much of the material for Ozzy’s early solo records. Daisley received songwriting credits with Ozzy on albums including Blizzard of Ozz and No Rest for the Wicked.
Kelly responded by defending her father’s accomplishments and insisting that his impact as a musician speaks for itself.
In a statement shared to her Instagram Stories, Kelly said that Ozzy’s work as a singer, songwriter, musician and bandleader is well documented. She pointed to his longtime collaborators, friends, family and fans as people who understand the significance of what he accomplished and the lasting influence he left behind.
Kelly then addressed Snider directly, taking issue with his decision to question her father’s abilities after his death. She also drew attention to the difference between their respective careers, referencing the length and impact of Ozzy’s time in the music industry.
She argued that Snider’s own period of mainstream success occurred more than four decades ago, while her father maintained a career spanning nearly 60 years. Ozzy’s musical journey included his groundbreaking work with Black Sabbath as well as a highly successful solo career.
Kelly further criticized what she viewed as an insensitive attempt to undermine Ozzy’s achievements when he was no longer alive to respond to the claims himself. She maintained that Snider could not fully know the private circumstances surrounding her father’s career or the contributions he made throughout his decades in music.
Ultimately, Kelly emphasized that Ozzy’s legacy would continue through his music, the people who worked alongside him and the millions of fans who continue to appreciate his work.
