Guns N’ Roses Performed a Live Song for the First Time in Over 30 Years

During their Monday concert in Istanbul, Turkey, Guns N’ Roses made two significant changes to their setlist—one of which hadn’t been done in over three decades.

The band performed at BJK Tupras Stadyumu in Istanbul’s Besiktas neighborhood as part of their ongoing tour named Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things. This show stood out because they played “Out Ta Get Me” from their Appetite for Destruction album, a song they hadn’t performed live since 2017.

Interestingly, Monday’s show was also notable for what was missing. According to setlist.fm, the band chose not to include “It’s So Easy,” a long-time fan favorite and usual opener, marking the first time since 1993 that it was left out.

This is a bold change for Guns N’ Roses, who have largely stuck to a consistent core setlist since the reunion of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan in 2016. Until this year, “It’s So Easy” was their go-to opening song for post-reunion concerts, but in 2025, they switched back to kicking off shows with “Welcome to the Jungle.”

“Out Ta Get Me” isn’t the only unexpected addition during their current tour, which kicked off May 1 in Incheon, South Korea. Recently in Abu Dhabi, they performed their cover of the New York Dolls’ “Human Being” live for the first time—this track originally appeared on their 1993 covers album The Spaghetti Incident? They also brought back the G N’ R Lies track “Used to Love Her” for the first time since 2018.

Their May 23 concert in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was also the first in years without any songs from the Chinese Democracy album, a rarity since 1993. Additionally, on the second night of their tour in Yokohama, Japan, they debuted a cover of Thin Lizzy’s “Thunder and Lightning.”

Guns N’ Roses will continue their tour across Europe through June and July, wrapping up on July 31 at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany. No dates have been announced yet for North America.
