It looks like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce won’t have to search far for entertainment at their upcoming wedding.
On Wednesday, Sept. 3, classic rock band Foreigner took to Instagram with a playful “formal offer” to perform at the couple’s big day.
“Dear Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, we know what love is,” the group wrote in an open letter styled in orange text on a mint green backdrop, a nod to The Life of a Showgirl aesthetic. “We spent 40 years figuring it out… and now you guys have too. Please accept this as our formal offer to be your wedding band. Best wishes, Foreigner.”

Foreigner Ties Their Offer Back to Their Biggest Hit — as Swift and Kelce Celebrate Engagement
Foreigner may be best known for their 1984 chart-topper “I Want to Know What Love Is,” the lead single from their album Provocateur. The power ballad has endured for decades, inspiring covers from artists such as Wynonna Judd and Mariah Carey, who included her version on 2009’s Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, both 35, are still basking in the glow of their own love story. The couple revealed their engagement on Aug. 26, 2023, with a joint Instagram post showcasing a romantic, flower-filled garden proposal.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift captioned the announcement.
In the photos, Kelce presented the pop superstar with an “old mine brilliant cut” ring, custom-designed in collaboration with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.
Just a week later, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end opened up about the milestone on the Sept. 3 episode of his podcast New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.
His older brother Jason, 37, broached the subject first: “Travis, we gotta talk about it.” The tight end laughed before responding, “I don’t think we do.”
Jason then quipped, “In case you missed the Instagram post heard ’round the world, Travis and Taylor are engaged! Yay!”
Grinning, Travis acknowledged the flood of support. “That’s right, that’s right. And I appreciate everybody that reached out and sent something and all the posts and all the excitement that’s been going on. It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”
Asked how things had been since the announcement, he replied, “Exciting, it’s been awesome,” adding that he’s enjoyed referring to Swift as his fiancée.
