Dolly Parton and Mötley Crüe Join Forces on Emotional ‘Home Sweet Home’ Duet for a Meaningful Cause

Dolly Parton and Mötley Crüe are giving new meaning to “Home Sweet Home” with a powerful new duet that supports a worthy cause.
The 79-year-old country icon has teamed up with the legendary rock band for a reimagined version of their classic hit. The track showcases Parton’s soaring vocals, which blend seamlessly with frontman Vince Neil’s signature harmonies, bringing fresh energy and emotion to the beloved rock ballad.
In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Mötley Crüe reflected on the significance of revisiting their classic ballad with country music royalty. “‘Home Sweet Home’ was originally released in 1985 as a single off our Theatre of Pain album,” the band said. “Having someone as iconic as Dolly Parton lend her voice to a song that has meant so much to both us and our fans over the years is an unforgettable moment in our career.”
They added, “Celebrating the song’s 40th anniversary in such a meaningful way brings us so much joy, and we’re thrilled to share this version with Mötley and Dolly fans worldwide.”
Parton also expressed her excitement in a press release, saying, “Working in the studio on the 40th anniversary edition of ‘Home Sweet Home’ was both an honor and a joy. I was genuinely delighted they invited me to sing on such an enduring track.”
Mötley Crüe has previously reimagined “Home Sweet Home” with notable artists, including the late Chester Bennington of Linkin Park in 2005, and a 2014 rendition featuring frontman Vince Neil alongside country singer Justin Moore. The song also appeared as a remixed solo version on their 1991 compilation Decade of Decadence 81–91.
But this latest collaboration goes beyond music. The duet was created to raise awareness and funds for Covenant House, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting youth experiencing homelessness. The organization, which the band has long championed, provides meals and safe shelter to vulnerable young people. A portion of proceeds from the new release will directly support these efforts.
