“Guns N’ Roses Rocker Set to Hit the Road After May 17 Release of New Album ‘Orgy of the Damned’: Slash Announces S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival Tour Dates”

This summer, Slash is embarking on a tour! The renowned Guns N’ Roses guitarist revealed the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival Tour on Tuesday, featuring a series of North American concerts focused on blues music. The tour will showcase various artists supporting Slash’s upcoming album, Orgy of the Damned.

In a statement posted on his website, the 58-year-old Slash expressed, “The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour embodies a tribute to blues and rock ‘n’ roll, as well as a celebration of unity and solidarity during these uncertain and divisive times.”

As per the Grammy-winning artist, S.E.R.P.E.N.T. represents “Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance” — a concept deeply intertwined with the charitable aspect of the tour. Portions of the proceeds will go towards supporting The Equal Justice Initiative, Know Your Rights Camp, The Greenlining Institute, and War Child.

Slash further elaborated, stating, “S.E.R.P.E.N.T. serves as a platform to aid and uplift individuals and communities facing the injustices of racism and inequalities, and to assist children affected by the hardships of war and poverty globally.” He emphasized, “Therefore, a percentage of every ticket and VIP package sold will contribute to these causes. Additionally, S.E.R.P.E.N.T. aims to create an atmosphere where people can gather for a day of exceptional music, camaraderie, and enjoyment.”

Starting on July 5 in Bonner, Montana, the festival tour will visit various cities including Los Angeles, Denver, Cincinnati, Toronto, New York City, Boston, Atlanta, and more, before concluding on August 17 in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Throughout the tour, Slash will be joined by an impressive lineup of blues artists such as Warren Haynes Band, Keb’ ‘Mo, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Robert Randolph, Samantha Fish, Eric Gales, ZZ Ward, Jackie Venson, and Larkin Poe.

This tour follows closely after the release of Orgy of the Damned on May 17, which is Slash’s second solo album. The collaborative blues project features an array of prominent artists including Gary Clark Jr., Billy Gibbons, Chris Stapleton, Dorothy, Iggy Pop, Paul Rodgers, Demi Lovato, Chris Robinson, Tash Neal, and Beth Hart.
