“In 2016, Slash and Axl Rose reconciled their differences and reunited the original Guns N’ Roses lineup.”

Slash has expressed immense relief over reconciling with Axl Rose and reuniting in Guns N’ Roses. After leaving the band in 1996 and years of estrangement while Rose led different lineups, Slash and Axl ended their feud. Their reunion with bassist Duff McKagan was confirmed in 2016 for the Not In This Lifetime tour.

Reflecting on their reconciliation, Slash told the Abe Kanan Show: “It was great. After so much animosity, reconnecting with Axl was a huge weight off our shoulders. There’s this chemistry when we play together that you forget about over time—it’s intense on stage or working together. I’m really happy we moved past it all.”

With Guns N’ Roses still drawing large crowds for live performances, there’s speculation about a new album. Slash has indicated the band is discussing a new record, marking their first since 2008’s Chinese Democracy.

When their seventh album eventually releases, it will be the first to feature Slash on guitar since 1993’s The Spaghetti Incident?
