Rod Stewart is bidding farewell to touring with one final U.S. and Canada run!
The 79-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer announced his One Last Time tour, which will feature 20 new shows beginning in March in Austin, Texas, and wrapping up in St. Louis in August.
Having already taken the tour across Europe and Asia, Stewart’s setlist will include iconic hits such as “Maggie May,” “Forever Young,” “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?,” “The First Cut Is the Deepest,” “Young Turks,” and the Faces classic “Ooh La La.”
“Each show promises an unprecedented evening of iconic hits and a concert production befitting one of the era’s greatest live performers,” according to a press release.
The legendary singer, who released his 33rd studio album Swing Fever in February, will be joined by special guests Cheap Trick.
In addition to his new tour dates, Rod Stewart will also perform 13 shows in Las Vegas at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from March through June.
The singer had to cancel his milestone 200th Vegas residency show in August after being diagnosed with strep throat. Originally meant to mark the end of his 13-year residency, The Hits, Stewart decided to extend the residency for an encore performance, which will now take place during his upcoming tour dates.
In a 2023 interview with PEOPLE, Stewart shared his decision to step away from large-scale tours, though he clarified he wasn’t retiring. “This will be the last time ‘round, I think, to do the rock ‘n’ roll stuff because I want to move on to swing music and the Great American Songbook,” he said. “But I’m not taking my songs to the cemetery and burying them. I might bring them out on the odd occasion, but I basically would like to put them to rest for a little while. No more big tours. I’ve said farewell to Australia and New Zealand and Mexico, so it’s time to say farewell to the U.S. now.”
