Rod Stewart delighted fans at Glastonbury on June 29 with unexpected guest appearances from Lulu and Simply Red frontman Mick Hucknall, adding even more star power to his highly anticipated Legends slot performance in England.

Rod Stewart had some musical heavyweights join him for an unforgettable performance during his Glastonbury Festival appearance.
The 80-year-old rock legend took over the Pyramid Stage on Sunday, June 29, during the iconic Legends slot. His set included appearances from longtime collaborators and fellow music icons: Lulu, Rolling Stones guitarist and former Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood, and Simply Red’s frontman Mick Hucknall.
After delivering crowd favorites like “Tonight’s the Night (Gonna Be Alright)” and “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy,” Stewart surprised fans by inviting Hucknall, 65, onstage. Together, the two sang a duet of “If You Don’t Know Me by Now,” originally recorded by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes and later made famous by Hucknall’s band, Simply Red.
As the show continued, Stewart introduced Ronnie Wood, 78, for a rousing performance of Faces’ 1971 anthem “Stay With Me.” Lulu, 76, also joined Stewart for a lively rendition of “Hot Legs.”
Before bringing out the surprise guests, Stewart told the audience, “Now it brings me real great pleasure to bring on the stage two — what I call — legends, along with me,” embracing Wood in a warm hug as the crowd erupted.
Wood’s appearance comes amid renewed buzz about Faces’ long-awaited return to the studio. Back in April, drummer Kenney Jones revealed to The Telegraph that the band has recorded roughly 11 new tracks at London’s RAK Studios, teasing their first album in five decades. Though a release date hasn’t been confirmed, Jones said a 2025 launch is more likely given the members’ busy schedules. “We do little snippets here and there,” he said. “Then all of a sudden, The Stones are out again, Rod’s out again…”
Faces, formed in 1969, released four albums during their initial run: First Step (1970), Long Player (1971), A Nod Is As Good As a Wink… to a Blind Horse (1971), and Ooh La La (1973).
