Rod Stewart Postpones Vegas Show Due to Illness, Shares Plans for Glastonbury and Beyond
Some fans hoping to catch Rod Stewart live in Las Vegas this past weekend were met with disappointment. Just hours before the 80-year-old music legend was scheduled to perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Sunday, June 1, Stewart announced via Instagram Stories that the show would be postponed.
“I’m not feeling well and unfortunately, tonight’s performance will need to be rescheduled,” Stewart shared, noting that the new date would be June 10 and that all tickets would remain valid.
Despite the last-minute cancellation, the iconic “Maggie May” singer has a packed schedule ahead. Later this month, he’s set to appear at the Glastonbury Festival in the U.K., where he’ll take on the prestigious Legends slot. Notably, that performance is expected to feature a special reunion with his former Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood.
Stewart’s busy year continues with additional North American stops on his One Last Time World Tour this summer. He also plans to return to his Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace, which will run through the fall.
Just weeks ago, Stewart was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 American Music Awards. His recent health-related interruptions aren’t his first, either. In August 2024, he had to cancel several Vegas shows due to a bout of strep throat and COVID-19.
In a message to fans shared last year, Stewart clarified that while his current tour marks the end of large-scale global touring, he has no intention of stepping away from the stage entirely. “I love what I do, and I do what I love,” he wrote. “I’m fit, still have all my hair, and can run 100 meters in 18 seconds at 79!”
He also teased the possibility of a more intimate tour focused on the Great American Songbook and swing music in the near future—though he left the door open for change, adding, “But then again, I may not…”
