“Io” is part of the upcoming album “A Speedway On Saturn’s Rings” by The Fusion Syndicate. The album, set to be released through Cleopatra Records on September 22, showcases a stellar lineup of musicians. Notable appearances include Al Di Meola, Jerry Goodman (Weather Report), Jan Akkerman, Bootsy Collins, Didier Malherbe (Gong), Steve Stevens, Chris Poland (Megadeth), Alphonso Johnson (Weather Report), and more.
The inception of The Fusion Syndicate dates back to 2012 when they introduced themselves with the release of their eponymous studio album. This debut album was crafted under the production of Billy Sherwood, renowned bassist of Yes. Following a similar approach as Sherwood’s The Prog Collective series, The Fusion Syndicate brings together musicians from the realms of progressive and jazz fusion, culminating in the creation of fresh fusion-oriented compositions.
