The “Wonderwall” hitmakers brought their highly anticipated reunion tour to Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia, on Friday, Oct. 31. During the show, one audience member ignited and hurled a flare into the crowd — prompting a furious response from Gallagher.
“To the massive c— who launched that flare into the crowd last night at the gig in Melbourne — you are one seriously f—ed up individual, and you’ll get yours, trust me,” the singer wrote in a post shared to X (formerly Twitter).
Fan-recorded clips from the concert show a person holding a lit flare and waving it above their head before tossing it into the audience, causing nearby fans to scatter. The incident occurred during the band’s performance of “Champagne Supernova.”
In response, Liam pointed his finger toward the crowd and quipped, “That was naughty. Naughty, naughty, naughty.”
The 53-year-old frontman and his brother Noel kicked off their Oasis Live ’25 Tour in July, with dates scheduled through Nov. 23.
Earlier in the tour, guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs announced he’d be stepping away temporarily to continue treatment for prostate cancer.
“The good news is that I’m responding really well to treatment, which meant I could still take part in this incredible tour,” the 60-year-old musician said in a statement, explaining that his diagnosis came earlier this year.
He added that he would miss the band’s shows in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Sydney as he begins the next phase of his recovery.
“I’m really gutted to miss these gigs, but I’m feeling strong and plan to be back in time for the South American leg,” he shared. “Enjoy the shows this month, and I’ll see you all again in November.”
