“I’m back on the straight and narrow, away from temptation,” the British musician shared just days after the tour wrapped in Brazil.
Liam Gallagher stayed sober throughout Oasis’ comeback tour — except for the final performance, when he admitted to enjoying “a few” drinks. He emphasized that it was a one-off occurrence.
The British rock band, led by Liam, 53, and his brother Noel Gallagher, 58, wrapped up the Oasis Live ’25 Tour on Nov. 23 in São Paulo, Brazil. To celebrate the finale, the “Wonderwall” frontman, who had previously committed to avoiding drugs and alcohol during the tour, shared on X that he “had a few beers.”
On Nov. 27, a fan posted an onstage clip of Liam and joked, “A week more of touring and he would have ended in a psychiatric hospital.” Liam responded, “Why’s that then?” Another fan asked if he had “gotten off your coconut yet.”
Known for engaging with fans on X, Liam replied that while he “had a few beers,” he “wasn’t feeling it,” making it clear it wasn’t a return to full drinking.

The “Live Forever” singer offered more insight into his post-tour celebrations through a series of posts on X.
Before the final show on Nov. 23, Liam mentioned he planned to mark the occasion by “having a few” drinks. When a fan asked if he got “blitzed” after the last Oasis gig, he replied, “I didn’t — I had five lagers and then called it, couldn’t be arsed.”
In response to another fan who suggested it’s “better off staying off the beer,” Liam confirmed that he is “enjoying being sober.”
His posts about briefly breaking sobriety came shortly after he thanked fans for supporting Oasis during their massive, sold-out reunion tour. On Nov. 24, he wrote, “To all OASIS fans around the world, young, middle-aged, old as f—, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. You absolutely LICKED IT UP TO RAS. Forever grateful for your ENERGY and BIBLICAL vibes — without you, we’re just a good band; with you, we’re the BEST BAND ON THE F—— PLANET. LG x.”
Earlier, in March, the “Stand by Me” singer had revealed he was giving up alcohol for the tour, which kicked off in July and marked the end of his longstanding feud with brother and bandmate Noel. At that time, he posted on X that he was “not interested in the booze at the moment” and had “had enough.”
He later disclosed that he had also avoided cigarettes and drugs throughout the tour, inspired by both the band and the fans. In a Nov. 6 post replying to a fan complimenting him on staying healthy for the shows, Liam wrote, “Oasis saved my life.”
“It’s about time I sorted my nappa [head] out,” he added. “I know how much this means to people, so giving up drinking, smoking, and snorting Gary baldies were sacrifices I needed to make.”
When another fan asked if he misses the “occasional Guinness,” he joked, “Yeah, I miss talking absolute bollocks when I’m bladdered.”
