Jon Bon Jovi has a new title to add to his list of accomplishments — grandfather.
The Livin’ on a Prayer rocker, 63, and his wife Dorothea recently became grandparents for the first time after their son Jake Bongiovi and his wife, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, shared joyful news on Thursday, Aug. 21.
Brown, 21, and Bongiovi, 23, announced on Instagram that they had adopted a baby girl, expressing their excitement for the journey ahead.
“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond thrilled to begin this beautiful new chapter of parenthood in peace and privacy,” the couple wrote in a joint statement.
They ended their announcement with the sweet message: “And then there were three.”
Jake is the second son of Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea. The couple are also parents to daughter Stephanie, 32, and sons Jesse, 30, and Romeo, 21.
The rock legend and Dorothea, who were high school sweethearts, tied the knot in Las Vegas in 1989 after nearly a decade of dating. Their first child, Stephanie, arrived in 1993, followed by Jesse in 1995, Jake in 2002, and their youngest, Romeo, in 2004.
Speaking to Andy Cohen on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy in May 2023, Bon Jovi reflected on relationships, saying: “I don’t know if age matters if you find the right partner and you grow together. Growing together is wise. I think all of my kids have found people they believe they can grow with — and we like them all.”
Millie Bobby Brown previously opened up about her desire to become a mother during a March 2025 appearance on the SmartLess podcast. The actress shared that her parents were young when they had her, and she always envisioned following a similar path.
“Since I was a baby, I told my mom, with my baby dolls, that I wanted to be a mom — just like she was to me,” she explained, noting that Jake insisted they wait until marriage before starting a family.
She added, “I really want a family. I really want a big family. I’m one of four, he’s one of four, so it’s definitely in our future. But for me, I don’t see having a biological child as being any different from adopting.”
