Both “Nothin’” and “Atlas” are now streaming on major platforms.
Guns N’ Roses have unveiled two new singles, Nothin’ and Atlas, which were first announced last month alongside the band’s 2026 tour schedule. Both tracks are now available on streaming services.
Like previous releases since their 2016 reunion — including Absurd, Hard Skool, Perhaps, and The General — these songs trace their origins back to the sessions for 2008’s Chinese Democracy. The band’s team describes Atlas as “GNR in full surging rock mode,” while Nothin’ is said to “develop into a more introspective track with floaty keys and an emotive guitar line.”
Both songs were written by Guns N’ Roses and produced by frontman Axl Rose alongside Caram Costanzo, who also co-produced Chinese Democracy and served as the band’s front-of-house engineer on the Chinese Democracy and Not in This Lifetime tours. According to Costanzo’s website, he worked exclusively with Guns N’ Roses from 2000 to 2023 and is currently involved with Janet Jackson’s 2024-2025 Resorts World Residency tour, indicating that work on Nothin’ and Atlas may not have been completed recently.
The band has remained tight-lipped about the details of the recordings, including which musicians were involved and whether a new album is in the works. In a recent Guitar World interview, guitarist Slash offered some insight but stopped short of providing specifics.
“There’s so much material at this point; it’s just about having the discipline to sit down and really get into it,” Slash explained. “But with Guns N’ Roses, you can never plan ahead. You can’t just say, ‘We’re going to dedicate this time to it.’ Every time we try, it falls apart. It always happens spontaneously — some kind of inspiration sparks it, and then it’s off and running. I know it’s coming because everyone’s thinking about it. It’ll happen when it happens.”
